Diaspora Bridge

Distance is real. Disconnection doesn't have to be.

Commona gives diaspora communities a trustworthy, transparent way to stay engaged with the towns and villages they love.

Sponsor a project

Fund a borehole, classroom or clinic with public milestones and receipts. No middlemen, no opacity.

Mentor a circle

One hour a month. Career, scholarships, business — the impact compounds.

Verify what's true

Trusted diaspora members help authenticate local reports and counter misinformation.

Bring partners in

Connect your employer, NGO or alumni network to a Circle that needs them.

How it works

Four steps from sign-up to meaningful contribution.

  1. 01

    Find your home Circle

Search by village, town or profession. If it doesn't exist yet, you can request it — many diaspora members are the first to bring their community on.

  2. 02

    Verify as diaspora

Verified diaspora members carry a distinct badge and unlock higher-trust actions: project sponsorship, verifications, mentorship matches.

  3. 03

    Pick a way to contribute

Sponsor a project at any level, mentor a youth circle one hour a month, or simply listen in to weekly Circle digests.

  4. 04

    Stay in the loop, calmly

A short weekly digest from your Circle — what moved, what didn't, what's next. No noise, no doomscroll.

How sponsorship works on Commona

Transparent ledger

Every donation appears on the project's public page with amount, date and donor (or "Anonymous diaspora"). No black boxes.

Milestone-based release

Funds are released against milestones verified by stewards on the ground — never as a lump sum at the start.

Receipts you can use

Every contribution generates a receipt. Institutional sponsors can request consolidated quarterly statements.

Small, disclosed fees

A 2% platform fee plus actual processor fees — both shown before you give. No surprises.

Your village is already working on something this week.

Find your Circle. Pick one way to help. Watch the milestones come in.
